The Forest Glen track-level pedestrian crossing is closing on December 20, 2024. Customers must use the pedestrian tunnel at Forest Glen Ave. or stairs via Elston Ave. to access platforms.

Metra Alert UP-W - Temporary outbound platform at Geneva Station will move to southwest side of Third Street.

Following the morning rush on Wednesday, Dec. 4, the temporary outbound platform at the Geneva Station will move to the southwest side of Third Street. All trains will board passengers from the rear cars on this platform. Please allow additional time to access the in-service platform and exercise caution near the work zones.

Tracks #2, and #4, are out of service on the south concourse at Chicago Union Station until further notice due to the Canal St., construction project. BNSF, Southwest Service, and Heritage Corridor passengers should check gate boards prior to boarding their trains. If you need help, please contact Metra personnel for assistance.

The Homewood elevator is out of service. Customers can use 211th Street/Lincoln Highway or Calumet as alternate boarding stations. Updates will be provided.

ME The Hazel Crest elevator is out of service. Customers can use Calumet or Harvey as alternate boarding stations. Updates will be provided.
ME Ivanhoe Station Elevator Is Out Of Service
The Ivanhoe Station elevator is out of service. Customers can use Kensington 115th elevator or the Harvey elevator as alternate boarding stations. Updates will be provided.
ME The Flossmoor Elevator Is Out Of Service
The Flossmoor elevator is out of service. Customers can use 211th Street/Lincoln Highway or Calumet as alternate boarding stations. Updates will be provided.
Metra Alert ME - Metra Electric 103rd Station Closed - Full Reconstruction

As part of the Metra Electric Community Initiative to transform 13 stations on the district, the 103rd Street/Rosemoor station remains closed for a full reconstruction and is expected to reopen next spring. During this time, customers can use 107th Street and 95th Street/Chicago State University as alternatives. For additional information click here.

Metra Alert ME - Millennium Station elevator out of service until further notice

The Millennium Station elevator is out of service until further notice.  Customers can use the elevator located at 205 N Michigan, which leads to the South Water entrance to Millennium Station

Metra Alert ME - 87th street/Woodruff Station Closure Beginning December 16 - Station Rebuild Project

 The 87th street/Woodruff station on the Metra Electric line will be closed beginning Monday, December 16. During this time passengers can use 83rd and 91st street stations as alternatives. This is part of the Metra Electric Community initiative to transform multiple stations on the Metra Electric District. Once completed, the station will have an enclosed ADA-accessible street-level entrance, lobby with an elevator, new stairs, headhouses, new composite deck platforms, new lighting, and signage. The station is expected to reopen in late 2025. For more information visit metra.com.

Metra Alert ME - As a Reminder, the 79th Street/Chatham Station Will Reopen on Monday, December 16.

As a reminder, the 79th Street/Chatam station on the Metra Electric will reopen to the public on Monday, December 16, 2024.  Please note that the station may not be fully ADA accessible Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.   Click here for more information.
