The total time allotted for all such comments shall be limited to 30 minutes, unless special permission for any time extension is granted by the Chair of the Board. When attending Board meetings, a mask is required to be worn while in the building, whether you are vaccinated or not.
Individuals wishing to address the Board at the meeting shall complete the public comment form. Individuals will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with a priority given to speakers wanting to comment on agenda items. Other remarks shall be confined to topics or activities that fall within the statutory authority of Metra.
If you have been selected to speak, the Chair of the Board will call on you to address the Board at the appropriate time. You will be asked to state your name for the record. You may provide other information, like any organization you are representing, and the city and county of your residence.
Members of the public who show proof of vaccination may attend Board meetings in the Board meeting room and provide comments in person from the podium. Masks are optional.
Members of the public who do not show proof of vaccination will be provided access to a separate room where they can view the meeting electronically and provide public comments remotely from there. They will be required to wear a mask and stay six feet apart from others. Space in the separate room will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
