Regularly scheduled meetings of the Metra Board of Directors will take place at 9:30 a.m. each month in the Board Room on the 13th Floor at 547 West Jackson Blvd., Chicago. Board Meeting dates, locations, and times are subject to change. Please view this page to confirm the date, location, and time of each month’s meeting. Public comment periods are generally held near the beginning of the meeting. Each speaker will be allotted three minutes to address the Board. The Chair of the Board will keep track of the time and advise you when the time is up. The total time allotted for all such comments shall be limited to 30 minutes, unless special permission for any time extension is granted by the Chair of the Board. If attending in person, a mask is required to be worn while in building, whether vaccinated or not.

Individuals wishing to address the Board at the meeting shall complete the public comment form. Individuals will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with a priority given to speakers wanting to comment on agenda items. Other remarks shall be confined to topics or activities that fall within the statutory authority of Metra.

If you have been selected to speak, the Chair of the Board will call on you to address the Board at the appropriate time. You will be asked to state your name for the record. You may provide other information, like any organization you are representing, and the city and county of your residence.

The Board also accepts written comments from the public. Written comments received from the public will be read into the record by Metra’s Chief of Staff at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting. If you are not attending in person and would like a public comment read, please email by the day before the Board Meeting.

All Board meetings are webcast. On meeting dates, a "Video" link will appear in the list below for public viewing.
