Station Break: Woodstock

Woodstock

Woodstock Station, the penultimate stop on the Union Pacific Northwest Line, was built in 1914 using a design by Chicago & North Western engineers that was also used at several other stations, including Des Plaines and the nearby Crystal Lake. Its bracketed eaves, steep roof, and ornamental side gables are characteristic of the Richardsonian style. A rehabilitation completed last year guarantees the station will continue to serve customers well into its second century.
