Metra will offer extra early morning inbound and early afternoon outbound trains on four of its lines for runners and spectators going to the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 8.

Extra service will be offered on Metra’s BNSF, Milwaukee District North, Union Pacific Northwest and Union Pacific West lines. The service will run in addition to regularly scheduled Sunday trains. Other lines with Sunday service will operate on their regular Sunday schedule.

Whether you are running in the race or cheering on the runners, don’t forget to save money with Metra’s $7 Sunday Day Pass, good for unlimited rides all day, which can be purchased on the train or on the Ventra app (download it from the App Store or Google Play). Plus, weekend Family Fares allow up to three children 11 and under to ride free with a fare-paying adult.
