Track work on Metra’s Milwaukee District North will require busing between Grayslake and Fox Lake for late night and early morning passengers Friday, July 26 through Sunday morning, July 28.

Pace will provide shuttle buses for passengers traveling beyond Grayslake for the last two outbound Trains 2157 and 2159 on Friday night, July 26, and Saturday night, July 27. The buses will meet riders at the Grayslake Station and make all station stops between Grayslake and Fox Lake during the outage.

On Saturday morning, July 27, and Sunday morning, July 28, Metra passengers on inbound trains 2600 and 2602 will board buses at Fox Lake, Ingleside, Long Lake, and Round Lake for travel to the Grayslake Station. Passengers will then board Metra trains at Grayslake to continue the inbound trip.

A detailed schedule can be found here.

The outage will facilitate work related to the replacement of the rail crossing at Route 134/Main Street in Round Lake. The crossing at Route 134 will be closed for the project on Monday, July 22, and is expected to reopen to traffic the morning of Thursday, Aug. 1.
