The Metra Electric District and Union Pacific North Line will run extra train service for anticipation of larger than normal crowds for the Chicago Bears home games. For more information click here and visit metra.com.
Track construction will be taking place Saturday, September 14 through Sunday, September 15. Trains may incur delays enroute up to 20 minutes behind schedule passing through the work zone. On Saturday, Sept. 14, Metra will be replacing the road crossing at Fairfield Road between the Round Lake and Long Lake stations. Metra passengers will be bused between Fox Lake and Grayslake stations and on Sunday. Sept. 15, Metra passengers will be bused between the Libertyville and Prairie Crossing stations from 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. due to work at the Butterfield Road crossing in Libertyville. This will affect inbound trains 2604 through 2616 and outbound trains 2601 through 2615 on Saturday and Sunday.
