It's Time to Get Your Green On.
Metra is proud to be a participant in the 2025 South Side Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 16, at noon. As you are having just a wee bit of fun on the lawn with friends and family, make sure to be on the lookout for the Metra float, featuring employees and families who hold a commitment to serving our community. Whether you’re continuing your winning streak on cornhole or looking forward to participating in one of the largest Irish community celebrations outside of Dublin, let Metra be your ride to the festivities.
Let Metra be your float to the sea of green.
St. Patrick’s Day weekend brings two things – a sea of green and heavy traffic. While the green is a welcoming sight, the congestion is not. Avoid the stress of traffic and let Metra be your safe and reliable transportation to the festivities. With added service on the Rock Island Line and resources such as the new Metra train tracker and the Ventra app, traveling with Metra has never been easier.
Getting to the Parade is easy.
