Construction projects require busing on the Milwaukee North Line Sept. 14-15 and Sept. 21-22

Construction projects along Metra’s Milwaukee North Line in northern Lake County will require busing for segments of the trip on two consecutive weekends in September.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, Metra will be replacing the road crossing at Fairfield Road between the Round Lake and Long Lake stations. Metra passengers will be bused between the Fox Lake and Grayslake stations from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m. This will affect inbound trains 2604 through 2616 and outbound trains 2601 through 2615.

On Sunday. Sept. 15, Metra passengers will be bused between the Libertyville and Prairie Crossing stations from 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. due to work at the Butterfield Road crossing in Libertyville. This will affect inbound trains 2604 through 2616 and outbound trains 2601 through 2615.

Work will continue the weekend of Sept. 21-22. On both Saturday and Sunday, passengers will be bused from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. between the Libertyville and Lake Forest stations due to crossing work at Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. This will affect inbound trains 2604 through 2616 and outbound trains 2601 through 2615.
