Environmental Evaluations

NEPA

Metra is conducting an environmental review in accordance with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) to identify potential impacts to community and natural resources, and identify potential measures to mitigate, avoid, or minimize impacts.

An official environmental document is being developed to document the environmental evaluation and determination process; however, the project is not expected to have a significant effect on the environment.
