To see which trains might be delayed by construction projects, look for the hardhat icon in the schedules for each line.
BNSF
Effective January 6 until further notice: Weekday construction occurring between Cicero to Aurora. Midday trains (including train 1233) with the helmet logo displayed underneath may be delayed up to 10 minutes.
Effective May 10 through May 11: Weekend construction occurring near LaVergne and Berwyn. Midday trains (In: 2006-2024 / Out: 2005-2021) may be delayed up to 10 minutes.
Metra Electric
Effective January 6 until further notice: Weekday and weekend construction occurring for the rehabilitation of 87th and 95th Street stations. Weekday midday trains (In: 100-334 / Out: 101-245) may be delayed 20 minutes. Weekend midday trains (In: 800-828 / Out: 8301-829) may be delayed up to 30 minutes.
Effective January 6 until further notice: Weekday and weekend evening construction occurring between 11th Place and University Park. Evening weekday trains (In: 138-150 / Out: 345-153) may experience delays up to 30 minutes. Evening weekend trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed 30 minutes.
Effective May 10 through May 11: The Metra Electric Line will be partially shut down on two weekends due to extensive construction associated with the South Shore Line’s expansion plans, work that will also benefit Metra Electric riders. Train service will terminate and originate from the 18th Street Station, with buses replacing trains between Millennium and 18th, and the line will use a Sunday schedule on both Saturdays and Sundays on those weekends. ALL weekend trains may experience delays up to 30 minutes.

Milwaukee District North
Effective April 28 until May 9: Weekday construction occurring between Western Ave. to Deerfield. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 20 minutes.
Effective May 10 through May 11: Weekend construction occurring between Deerfield to Libertyville. Weekend midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 30 minutes.
Effective May 12 through May 16: Weekday construction occurring between Union Station to Western Ave. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 15 minutes.
Milwaukee District West
Effective April 7 until May 29: Weekday construction occurring between Western Ave. to Cicero. Weekday midday trains (In: 2228-2244 / Out: 2205-2223) may be delayed up to 20 minutes.
Effective May 3 until May 4: Weekend construction occurring between Roselle to Schaumburg. Weekend midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 15 minutes.
Effective May 12 until May 16: Weekday construction occurring near Mars and between Union Station to Western Ave. Weekday midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 15 minutes.
North Central Service
Effective April 21 through May 9: Weekday construction occurring between Western Ave. to River Grove. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 20 minutes.
Effective May 12 through May 16: Weekday construction occurring between Union Station to Western Ave. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 15 minutes.
Rock Island
Effective April 28 until May 16: Weekday and weekend construction occurring near 16th Street and Morgan St. Weekday midday trains (In: 606-428 / Out: 601-619) may be delayed up to 10 minutes. Weekend midday trains (In: 202-122 / Out: 205-221) may be delayed up to 10 minutes.
SouthWest Service
Effective May 9 through May 27: Weekday construction occurring near 74th St between Wrightwood to Union Station. Weekday midday trains (In: 812-818 / Out: 805-811) may be delayed up to 20 minutes.
Union Pacific North
Effective April 14 through May 16: Weekday construction occurring between Waukegan to Kenosha. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 20 minutes.
Effective May 10 through May 11: Weekend construction occurring between Lake Bluff to Waukegan. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may experience delays up to 20 minutes. Evening construction occurring between Clybourn to Main St. Evening weekend trains (In: 824-828 / Out: 827-301) may experience delays up to 20 minutes.
Effective May 12 through May 16: Weekday construction occurring between Waukegan to Kenosha. Midday trains with the helmet logos displayed underneath may be delayed up to 20 minutes. Evening construction occurring between Clybourn to Main St. Evening weekday trains (In: 368-376 / Out: 367-377) may experience delays up to 20 minutes.
