Due to customer requests, Metra is adding stops to some of its trains on the UP North (UP-N) Line beginning Monday, Dec. 5.

Metra is adding stops at Kenilworth and Indian Hill to six trains and stops at Evanston Main Street and Evanston Central Street to one afternoon train at the request of riders who reverse commute. Inbound Trains 350, 358 and 362 will now stop at Kenilworth and Indian Hill in the afternoon and evening. Outbound Trains 307 and 311 will also make stops at Kenilworth and Indian Hill in the mornings and Train 339 will now make stops at Main and Central in Evanston as well as Kenilworth and Indian Hill.

In addition to the new stops, some arrival times at other stations have been adjusted on these trains, and some temporary changes to the departure times of inbound weekday evening trains, made Nov. 1 to accommodate a tie replacement project, will end.

The new UP-N schedule can be viewed here. All UP-N riders are advised to review the new schedule to determine if their train time has changed. Metra surveyed its riders this summer to ensure that future schedule changes aligned with customers’ feedback. Metra will continue to review customer feedback and make changes as necessary.
