Larry Falbe

Citizens Advisory Board Member

Larry Falbe is Lake County’s appointee to the Metra Citizen’s Advisory Board. He is a partner at the national law firm Miller Canfield Paddock and Stone, PLC and has practiced law for over 20 years. He is a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, and received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law. His diverse practice focuses on litigation, environment and energy issues, land use and governmental affairs. 

Mr. Falbe is a sought-after speaker on various legal topics and has taught law as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law. He has been extensively involved in Lake County community affairs for many years. Currently, he serves as pro bono counsel for Lake County Partners and he previously served as a commissioner on the Lake County Regional Plan Commission. He also was an elected trustee in the Village of Mettawa for several years. In 2015 he was appointed by Governor Bruce Rauner to serve on the Enterprise Zone Board as the collar county representative.
