Keri L. Holleb Hotaling


Keri L. Holleb Hotaling was appointed to the Metra Board of Directors in 2020 by suburban members of the Cook County Board.

Ms. Holleb Hotaling, a Partner at Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago, Illinois, is a litigator with significant civil trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts. She also has extensive experience conducting sensitive internal corporate investigations and handling government enforcement actions.

Ms. Holleb Hotaling has been recognized for excellence in legal practice by organizations such as Law360 and Illinois Super Lawyers.

A dedicated advocate, Ms. Holleb Hotaling has an active pro bono practice, regularly representing prisoners in federal civil rights and class-action matters. She also represents nonprofit organizations focused on assisting women and girls and is active in her firm’s Domestic Violence Pro Bono Project.

Early in her legal career, Ms. Holleb Hotaling served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Phillip P. Simon of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana (2003-05).

Active in the community, Ms. Holleb Hotaling currently serves on the board of the Chicago Foundation for Women and the YWCA Evanston/ North Shore. She also volunteers her time on the grant-making committee of the Chicago Bar Foundation. She also served as a 2014 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow.

Ms. Holleb Hotaling is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where she received her JD, and Allegheny College, where she received her BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies, magna cum laude, and was a member of Phi Betta Kappa.

She lives with her family in Evanston, Illinois.
